"Summer in Saratoga" Partnership
There's nothing more exciting than being in the paddock as an owner of a thoroughbred at Saratoga Race Course. It's a very special place, and we're hoping to do special things there this summer. We have a Partnership in place to claim a horse with the goal of racing at Saratoga this summer. Come join us for the fun and excitement (and nervousness and stress) of owning a racehorse in New York.
Our Trainer: Mark Hennig
As a teenager, Mark spent his summers working for either his father, trainer John Hennig or his friend, Neil Howard. He later landed a job working with Hall Of Fame trainer, Jack Van Berg, in May of 1987. He worked for Van Berg, before he was hired by Hall Of Fame trainer D. Wayne Lukas, in September of that year, later becoming one of his assistants. Over his 25+ year career as a trainer, he's amassed over 9,800 starts, 1,400 wins and over $75MM in earnings and has trained many greats, including Graded Stakes Winners Star of Cozzene, Gold Mover, Summer Colony, Eddington, Gygistar and so many more.
The Game Plan

We've been searching for a versatile, semi-lightly raced horse in the $35-45K claiming level to run in New York.

We will be working with our trainers to identify a runner for LBB Stables that provides the most opportunity for success on the NYRA circuit.

You will be involved in the process and kept up to date on who our claim targets are and our rationale behind them. We are very patient and deliberate, so we get this right!

Lastly - have a lot of fun! Yes, there's a lot of work that goes into it all, and plenty of patience and luck, but we have a great group of local Partners to hang out with too. You'll get a chance to visit in the morning and have a blast on race days. This is truly an opportunity for the everyday race fan to get involved in ownership.

Fully-detailed pricing plans have been developed and are ready for distribution. Each plan includes cost of claim, THREE months of training fees, and a 15% LBBS management fee.
​
Gold Partner - $5,750 for 10% ownership, and will be a key decision-maker.
​
Silver Partner - $3,000 for 5% ownership, and will have full transparency in racing decisions and frequent weekly communication.
​
Bronze Partner - $1,750 for 2.5% ownership, and all of the same benefits as our Silver partners.
