Mid-Atlantic Claiming Venture
This past fall we expanded our presence into the Mid-Atlantic region, with trainer Lacey Gaudet. Not only have we had great initial success (3 starts - 1 first, 1 place (bogus DQ), and a 4th), but we've enjoyed working with Lacey so much that we are going to add another LBB runner in Laurel. We've built a great group of Partners that love the game, understands the importance of patience and trusting the team, and has a pretty good idea of how to have fun at the track, leveraging the LBB Stables bar tab.
Our Trainer: Lacey Gaudet
Lacey grew up with horses at her family’s farm in Upper Marlboro, Md., and now is at the helm of one of the largest stables at Laurel Park. She was an assistant to her father during the summer when he was based at Monmouth Park. She has worked for trainers Helen Pitts in Florida and Tom Albertrani and Allen Iwinski in New York. She later oversaw the stable at the Monmouth and Delaware Park. Team Gaudet IS Maryland racing, and there's no better team to build a relationship with in the region.
The Game Plan
We love the job that Lacey has done with our current Laurel Park runner, Assembly Point. We found AP in a $16K CLM race at Saratoga. With a little bit of patience and some extra TLC, Lacey and team (especially assistant Lia McGuirk) got him back to a happy and healthy horse. He's raced three times since the claim and has amassed nearly $25K in earnings. So, we want to try to replicate what we've done so far.
With Team Gaudet's guidance, we will be looking to claim or purchase a horse between $16-20,000 to run at Laurel Park and other Mid-Atlantic tracks in the spring and summer. All feedback is welcome and we try to execute any claim or purchase with full buy-in from our Partners. You are very much a part of the process.
As we typically try to do, we'll be looking for a runner that offers a little bit of versatility, whether it be surface versatility or distance versatility. We also work backwards - where is the immediate opportunity? who is the horse that can fill that opportunity?
Lastly - have a lot of fun! Yes, there's a lot of work that goes into it all, and plenty of patience and luck, but we have a great group of local Partners to hang out with too. You'll get a chance to visit in the morning and have a blast on race days. This is truly an opportunity for the everyday race fan to get involved in ownership.
Fully-detailed pricing plans have been developed and are ready for distribution. Each plan includes cost of claim, THREE months of training fees, and a 15% LBBS management fee.
Gold Partner - $3,250 for 10% ownership, and will be a key decision-maker.
Silver Partner - $1,750 for 5% ownership, and will have full transparency in racing decisions and frequent weekly communication.
Bronze Partner - $900 for 2.5% ownership, and all of the same benefits as our Silver partners.

Why Choose LBB Stables?
The end goal will always be to get into the winner’s circle, but it is certainly more rewarding when you feel as though you’ve been a part of the journey since the start.
Transparency & Honesty
From finances, to auction and claiming prospects, to race day decisions - you are always kept abreast of the key decisions made to best manage our horses and your investments.
Professionalism & Integrity
The horse will always come first, and we will do our best to create the proper path for them as they race for LBB Stables and beyond.
The best part of owning a racehorse is getting the access to them and our team. We provide all of our Partners with the ability to spend some time on the backside, as well as paddock access and passes on race day. We also have LBB Stables events throughout the year.
From Our Current Mid-Atlantic Partners
Scott M., MD
"I appreciate the patience you and Lacey are having with Assembly Point, and the open lines of communication. Thanks again for everything you're doing.
Doug M., MD
I want to thank you for taking the time to share all the information on AP. It's given me a much better understanding of how this sport works and the considerations trainers and owners have to make when looking for the right spot.
Brian R., MD
"..you do a great job, appreciate the info and updates you provide. It was an "abnormal" beginning (everything happens for a reason), but through your experience, leadership, and with Lacey's guidance, we are in a great spot with AP right now
