Mid-Atlantic Claiming Venture
Since the inception of LBB Stables, plans to expand into the Mid-Atlantic region were always in the cards. The region is filled with talented runners, plenty of good horsemen, and bonus incentives - all of which are vital in developing fun and lucrative ownership opportunities for our partners. It's a great place to continue to build against our key principles - align with great horsemen to develop a deliberate and thoughtful approach to ownership, at reasonable investment levels.
Our Trainer: Lacey Gaudet
Lacey grew up with horses at her family’s farm in Upper Marlboro, Md., and now is at the helm of one of the largest stables at Laurel Park. She was an assistant to her father during the summer when he was based at Monmouth Park. She has worked for trainers Helen Pitts in Florida and Tom Albertrani and Allen Iwinski in New York. She later oversaw the stable at the Monmouth and Delaware Park when her father was unable to do so. Gaudet is an advocate of cooperation and following through on initiatives that are in the best interest of Maryland racing.
With Lacey's help, we found Assembly Point in a $16K CLM race at Saratoga. While he didn't care for the 1 1/8th mile distance in that race, we're excited about his versatility moving forward.
We'll map out a short-term game plan of potential races in the Mid-Atlantic region, with his first race for LBB Stables being at Laurel Park in the next week or so..
